Slip Stream Empty Slip Stream

Wed Sep 05, 2018 10:31 am
Name: Slip Stream
Category: Emission
Range: Short
Description: Those bestowed with this quirk can emit high pressure air through pores all over their body. This means they can do things like speed up a kick via releasing air out of their calves, or release a ton of air when they punch to cause burst-like effect. Because this quirk is air related aroma based quirks, smoke/mist/cloud based quirks, and lightning based quirks all suffer a -1 when clashing with techniques of this quirk.

Additionally, due to the high volume of air floating through the user's body at all times they are more light-weight and thus, the user's speed cap is raised to S-0. Furthermore, the user has a much larger lung capacity than normal and the posts it takes to suffocate is 2 more than normal.

Drawbacks: There is a good few flaws with this quirk. First and foremost, the air exerted is taken directly from the user's lungs. Meaning they can only use their quirk continuously for as long as they can hold their breath. In a situation where the user is suffocating each post they use their quirk counts as 3 posts instead (I.E. if the user has 3 posts before they fall unconscious from suffocation, and they use their quirk in the first post, they fall unconscious at the end of the post.) Furthermore due to the quirk being exhaled from pores, if something can clog up their pores the user cannot activate their quirk in the clogged region. This must be done by something of equal or higher rank than the technique being used as otherwise the high pressure air would simply blow out whatever is clogging the pore. Likewise liquid based substances have a hard time clogging the user's pores unless they are sticky or oily in nature.

Additionally, due to the user's light frame their bones and body are much more frail. They take a +1 increase to blunt damage.

Finally, due to the quirk being air related, it suffers a -1 when interacting with earth based, or hardened based quirks.

Continual Usage Table:

Limit-Break: Two things happen when the user limit breaks. First the user runs out of air and cannot use their quirk for a full post. Additionally, they get incredibly light headed and weak and suffer a -2 stamina, strength, and speed for every 5 below their limit pool they go (Meaning at -15LP they're suffering a -6 to all stats)

Writing notes as we discussed.

-Fix the typos
-In drawbacks, equal to or greater rank
-As a drawback, limit the total number of breathes available to the user per control rank (equal to the number of posts of continuous usage?)

-Up the limit pool drainage to 30 LP per out of breath, it's pretty easy to avoid in most cases and though 20 hurts, it's not damaging enough at higher levels. Otherwise everything else looks fine~
